One of my favorite falls in the Northeast.
This fall looks like the "Svartifoss" waterfall in Iceland.
This is one of the most popular hikes in the area, in part because everyone likes waterfalls, and in part because it’s a relatively short hike to a huge, 260-foot payoff, divided over two drops. - A short walk Park provides visitors with a breathtaking view!
Kaaterskill Falls is a two-drop, 260-foot cascade. It’s one of America’s oldest tourist attractions and is immortalized in Hudson River School paintings and Washington Irving’s “Rip Van Winkle.”
